Seeing the Face of God (Part 2)
I had another awesome dream this morning surrounding the Lord. Two days in a row is more than I could ever ask for. Although, I don't remember a lot of the details I remember the important things for sure. Seeing the Lord's FACE again was more than awesome, though this time I was observing him from across the room and didn't really have a close up of what he looked like.
Let me start by saying in the beginning of the dream I saw a couple together that I assumed were either married or engaged. I don't know what it was but apparently I saw them together on several occasions to come to that conclusion. As the scene changed, I was at a gathering and there was food being served. It wasn't elaborate or anything. It was like a get together of family and friends. This couple I noticed that stood out were standing together talking at the gathering. I couldn't keep my eyes off of them. I could tell he was smitten by her and it was obvious she was smitten by him.
I was curious because I realized this was the same young man I had seen earlier with a different woman. I couldn't believe that he was with this other young lady now. She looked a lot different from the first lady. This young lady I would describe as a plain Jane. I was completely mesmerized by this couple now observing their every move.
They danced a bit, then afterwards they seem to be having so much fun with each other. They were in deep conversation, laughing, talking, and jesting with each other like when you're telling someone a story and you hit them with your hand for emphasis demonstrating how close and familiar you are with each other. It was rather obvious that they were BOTH in LOVE with each other but were also good FRIENDS. I almost felt a little jealous, thinking wow I want whatever it is they have. Then I woke up. ha ha
The Holy Spirit gave me the interpretation right away. He said the first lady was the unfaithful harlot church who really loves the world more than the Lord. She has a relationship with him in title only as his wife but not in an authentic relationship. There's no intimacy, it's only a surface relationship. She's only interested in what he has to give to her but she's not willing to give back. Nor is she willing to find out what makes him happy. It's all about her.
The young lady I was mesmerized by was the FAITHFUL BRIDE of Christ. She can be described as a young maiden or shepherd girl., like one of the wise virgins perhaps. The Lord loves her because of her inner beauty, not for outward beauty. They have a close intimate relationship that they have developed over time. They really like each other and enjoy one another's company.
The Lord led me to read Song of Songs 4:8-11
[Song of Songs 4:7-11 HCSB] 7 You are absolutely beautiful, my darling, with no imperfection in you. 8 Come with me from Lebanon, my bride -- with me from Lebanon! Descend from the peak of Amana, from the summit of Senir and Hermon, from the dens of the lions, from the mountains of the leopards.
9 You have captured my heart, my sister, my bride. You have captured my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace. 10 How delightful your love is, my sister, my bride. Your love is much better than wine, and the fragrance of your perfume than any balsam.
11 Your lips drip sweetness like the honeycomb, my bride. Honey and milk are under your tongue. The fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon.
14 nard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with all the trees of frankincense, myrrh and aloes, with all the best spices.
Jesus loves spending alone time with his BEAUTIFUL FAITHFUL BRIDE because he knows she has eyes ONLY for Him and he has eyes ONLY for her. He can trust her words will always be sweet as honeycomb. They enjoy the same things, everything decent and moral. Standing in HOLINESS, she's more than a HOLY bride, she's like a SISTER. Better said, like a good FRIEND.
Her beauty is surpassing, unrivalled, unparalleled, unmatched by the unfaithful bride who is really a prostitute. The faithful bride's beauty surpasses the worldly, fake, gaudy immodest dressing women that prance around, mincing their steps in their stilettos and high heels.
[Isaiah 3:16-24 NASB] 16 Moreover, the LORD said, "Because the daughters of Zion are proud And walk with heads held high and seductive eyes, And go along with mincing steps And tinkle the bangles on their feet, 17 Therefore the Lord will afflict the scalp of the daughters of Zion with scabs, And the LORD will make their foreheads bare."
18 In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their anklets, headbands, crescent ornaments, 19 dangling earrings, bracelets, veils, 20 headdresses, ankle chains, sashes, perfume boxes, amulets, 21 finger rings, nose rings, 22 festal robes, outer tunics, cloaks, money purses, 23 hand mirrors, undergarments, turbans and veils.
24 Now it will come about that instead of sweet perfume there will be putrefaction; Instead of a belt, a rope; Instead of well-set hair, a plucked-out scalp; Instead of fine clothes, a donning of sackcloth; And branding instead of beauty.
The faithful bride doesn't put emphasis on her outer beauty. She is balanced in knowing where true beauty lies, within her heart. Her beauty comes from the fruits of the Spirit that are like jewels to beset her heart as the jewels of a necklace would lay on her chest across her heart. The qualities of a meek, humble spirit are far more attractive than a selfish, proud and haughty spirit to our Lord
[Gal 5:22-23 NIV] 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
The shepherd girl or maiden has captured the GREAT SHEPHERD'S attention with her immense desire to please him and know him intimately. Like the cedars of Lebanon, she's refreshing, a breath of fresh air to the Lord. The Hebrew word for cedar is "eretz" meaning firm roots. The faithful bride has firm roots PLANTED in the Lord having a firm foundation in his righteousness.
24 Now it will come about that instead of sweet perfume there will be putrefaction; Instead of a belt, a rope; Instead of well-set hair, a plucked-out scalp; Instead of fine clothes, a donning of sackcloth; And branding instead of beauty
She's not stale or putrid smelly like the evil CARNAL fleshly prostitute who belongs to the world. Instead, her fragrance comes from perfumes like frankincense and myrrh which denote her lifestyle of self denial and self sacrifice. Christ Jesus is smitten by the sweet spirit of his faithful bride that is loving, kind, and unselfish.
Her love is so PURE and SIMPLE based on her knowledge of him. She knows and appreciates just how much he loves her. The love and presence of God is truly tangible when he lets us know that we have captured his heart. There is nothing to compare to feeling loved by our CREATOR. She doesn't take that kind of LOVE for granted because she knows it came at a great cost to him. His blood is most precious in her eyes and thereby she cherishes their relationship. I saw two people so much in LOVE they seemed to be made PERFECT for each other.
The FAITHFUL BRIDE aspires to have this kind of relationship with her bridegroom Jesus (Yeshua). The Lord assures me that he sees each of us in our personal one on one relationship with him in the way I saw him and the maiden in the dream. He is interested in each of us individually to have the kind of intimacy that sparks uninhibited conversation, and genuine interaction with him. We learn to trust God as we dialogue with him because as we talk with the Lord, he actually answers us back.
I asked the Lord how can we develop the kind of trust that leads to a close relationship when in reality he's not here with us in a physical sense. It's easy to observe this kind of relationship in a dream and write about it but Lord, what are practical, real ways I can share to help us all develop this kind of closeness with you?
The Lord said, read the Word. He leads me to Proverbs 2.
[Proverbs 2:1-22 HCSB] 1 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, 2 listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding; 3 furthermore, if you call out to insight and lift your voice to understanding,
4 if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God. 6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7 He stores up success for the upright; He is a shield for those who live with integrity
8 so that He may guard the paths of justice and protect the way of His loyal followers. 9 Then you will understand righteousness, justice, and integrity -- every good path. 10 For wisdom will enter your mind, and knowledge will delight your heart. 11 Discretion will watch over you, and understanding will guard you,
12 rescuing you from the way of evil -- from the one who says perverse things, 13 from those who abandon the right paths to walk in ways of darkness, 14 from those who enjoy doing evil and celebrate perversion, 15 whose paths are crooked, and whose ways are devious. 16 It will rescue you from a forbidden woman, from a stranger with her flattering talk,
17 who abandons the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God; 18 for her house sinks down to death and her ways to the land of the departed spirits. 19 None return who go to her; none reach the paths of life. 20 So follow the way of good people, and keep to the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright will inhabit the land, and those of integrity will remain in it; 22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous uprooted from it.
The FEAR of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. That knowledge we need to get to know the Lord Jesus and the Father is found in the Word of God, the bible. He also said prayer, talking to him in prayer about our daily concerns, desires, needs. He wants us to come to him with our troubles. In this world we will have tribulation but he has overcome the world. However we want to know him in respect to what pleases him so we can do his will.
His will is not complicated is what I hear the Holy Spirit saying. It is quite simple. Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. Love and pray for your enemies because we must surpass the ways of the world. Jesus said even people of the world love people who love them. The true mark of a Christian is to love those who don't love us back, those who don't know us but regardless, we give of ourselves to help anyone in need.
