Open the Floodgates of Heaven

The other day I found myself singing these words to an old familiar song, "Open the floodgates of heaven, let it rain, let it rain. Open the floodgates of heaven, let it raaaainnnnn. " Now I know why the Lord put this song on my mind.

Psalm 78: 23-24 says, "Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven, " 24 And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the CORN of heaven.

I believe God rained the manna down without measure. It was plentiful, an over abundance. There's no end to the hidden manna we may find as we rest in the presence of the Lord through worship, bible study and meditating upon the written Word of God.  John 4:24 , Rev 2:17

I really hadn't given much  thought if any to having a tag-line for Morning Manna's blog but here was the Lord handing it right to me.  "Corn of heaven's treasure holds hidden manna unmeasured".  To God be the GLORY! I give him credit for everything.  I named this blog in the beginning, Morning Manna with Faith.

That changed when I realized, wait, this isn't supposed to be about me. It's all about him. Though my real name is Faye, I write under the name of Faith. More than likely, most of you would never have known I was referring to myself thinking I was referencing the principle of faith.

In any case, I removed my name, and put the name that best describes who God is. He is the very essence of LOVE.  I felt the stronghold of pride literally lift off of me when I changed the name of this blog website to Morning Manna with LOVE.

Love is just one of the many facets of God's character. All of his other characteristics are byproducts, the fruits of his labor of love.  The bride calls the bride groom her beloved. It's all about love, love, and more love.  God's love for us is undeniable and it compels us into the chamber of his heart to listen to His words of wisdom to gain His understanding.

As we rest inside of God's heart, there we can meditate upon the things he reveals to us.  Psalm 49:3 KJV says- "3 My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding."  How is the meditation of our heart of understanding?

Job 28:28 KJV tells us - "28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding."

Meditating upon the wisdom of God will lead us to godly fear which motivates us to obey him from the heart. To obey is better than sacrifice because obedience requires that we depart from evil.  God is only trying to protect us because He truly loves us.

Exodus 16:31 KJV - "31 And the house of Israel called the name there of Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey."

Do we find the Word of God tasting sweet as a honey wafer or does it leave a bitter taste in our mouth? It can be bitter if we are not motivated by pure love for God. We will find it difficult to obey his commandments found in the Word which really are not burdensome if we truly love God.

Undeniably, the Word of God does have a sweet message about God's love and plan of salvation through Jesus Christ Messiah.  Yes, salvation is a sweet message yet it packs a  a lot of  power! Eternal life in glorified bodies for our present day broken bodies.

Jesus said at John 6:58 KJV - "58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live for ever."

CORN of Heaven
The Corn of Heaven's treasure contains all the golden nuggets of truth we learn while resting in the tabernacle of God's heart. This is not a new age concept or lingo. God's tabernacle was a place he designed so that his people the Israelites could dwell with him. In other words they could tabernacle with him enjoying his PRESENCE.

Among the contents inside of the tabernacle sometimes referred to as the TENT of MEETING was the ARK of the COVENANT. Inside the ark was the jar of MANNA, our corn of heaven. On the top was the MERCY SEAT, made of PURE GOLD symbolic of his throne and presence. It was there between the two cherubim that God rested in a tangible manner in the Most Holy Place.

Because today the veil of separation has been torn we have access to the presence of God through Jesus Christ Messiah and the Holy Spirit. It is a place we can treasure immensely as we grow in our walk with Him.  Do you appreciate the MANNA, the WORD of GOD that many gave their lives for that we would have access to the bible?

Here I can post little tidbits of information that are not in plain sight that we can snack on.  God told me long ago "keep it simple". Simple is always best.  To God be all the glory!!!!
Maybe perhaps you have a question about a particular scripture or a general question that you haven't found the answer to.

Let me know because that's what I love to do. Dig deep to find the nuggets, the hidden manna found only in God's Word, the bible. I love the Word of God, therefore I encourage you to develop an appetite for the manna. Be like the Bereans who searched the scriptures diligently to make sure of all things.

[Act 17:11 NIV] 11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Discerning our use of talents!

5/4/2015

Everyone has been given talents, some (5), some (2), some (1).  No one can say that God has not given me anything to share with my fellow man. We will all someday give an account of how we have used our talents.  See Matt 25: 15-30

God Provides for the Use of Talents
The Lord led me this morning to the  book of Exodus, chapters 35-36.  I was first led to Exod 36: 7 , "Their contributions were more than enough to complete the whole project." Here we can glean that God provides through his people the provisions needed to complete whatever projects or assignments he has given to his willing servants today as he did then.  As I continued reading I noted how that some are called to special tasks and projects by the Lord. Those he call  have been given a spirit of wisdom and the ability and craftsmanship to complete the task.   God does not call us to do something without equipping us. His Spirit helps us to accomplish whatever it is he has chosen us to do.  If you have a fervent desire to do something but not sure , most likely it's from him. He does the choosing. Exod 35: 30 says, "The Lord has specifically chosen Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah."

There are specific tasks and assignments God gives to his willing servants to accomplish his goals and purpose for the church today.  If you feel called or led to do something for the Lord's temple or sanctuary as the Israelites did, follow the lead of what God's Spirit is calling you to do.  Trust that he will give you wisdom to follow it through.  Wisdom may say get training or further skills to develop your talent.  You may have the artistic talent and just not fully developed the skill set to produce the project.  God gave Bezalel and Oholiab the ability to teach their skills to others. So if we have a willing heart to be of service, God has in place those who can help us when and if needed to train us.

Exod 35: 30, 34  NLT - "So the people of Israel--every man and woman who was eager to help in the work the LORD had given them through Moses--brought their gifts and gave them freely to the LORD.  34  "And the LORD has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach their skills to others."

God's temple(sanctuary) today is seen in the body of Christ, his church...rest assured that he has equipped us with the ability and wisdom to complete all projects and assignments to fulfill his purpose. Some are gifted financially and called to give of their finances, or maybe it's their time, intercessory prayers, whatever talents we've  been given ... we must use them, not sit on them. Use them for the glory of God.  The Israelites gave until there was more than enough needed. Are we giving more than enough to the point God says, you may stop...no more is needed.  Everything is done by his Spirit in us,  so we don't rely on ourselves but trust completely in him.  We follow the lead of the Spirit of God. Praise God! All glory, praise and honor to God Almighty in Christ Jesus! Hallelujah!!!!

Scripture References:

Mat 25:15-30 KJV - "15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21  His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22  He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26  His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

Exodus 35: 30-35 NLT - "Then Moses told the people of Israel, "The LORD has specifically chosen Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.  The LORD has filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts.  He is a master craftsman, expert in working with gold, silver, and bronze.  He is skilled in engraving and mounting gemstones and in carving wood. He is a master at every craft.  And the LORD has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach their skills to others.  The LORD has given them special skills as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple, and scarlet thread on fine linen cloth, and weavers. They excel as craftsmen and as designers."

Exodus 36: 1-7 NLT ""The LORD has gifted Bezalel, Oholiab, and the other skilled craftsmen with wisdom and ability to perform any task involved in building the sanctuary.  Let them construct and furnish the Tabernacle, just as the LORD has commanded.  So Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab and all the others who were specially gifted by the LORD and were eager to get to work.  Moses gave them the materials donated by the people of Israel as sacred offerings for the completion of the sanctuary. But the people continued to bring additional gifts each morning.  Finally the craftsmen who were working on the sanctuary left their work.  They went to Moses and reported, "The people have given more than enough materials to complete the job the LORD has commanded us to do!""  So Moses gave the command, and this message was sent throughout the camp: "Men and women, don't prepare any more gifts for the sanctuary. We have enough!" So the people stopped bringing their sacred offerings."
Their contributions were more than enough to complete the whole project."

Why did God not want man to have knowledge of good and evil?

4/20/2015

Would it really hurt to KNOW both good and evil. How was Eve deceived? First let's consider what was said.

Gen 3:2-5 NIV - "2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' " 4 "You will not certainly die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.""

When I asked the Lord the question this morning, Why did you not want man to know good and evil?  I was thinking to myself, it's just knowledge, just knowing is not the same as doing. It's not the same as actively engaging in something, or is it? God knew what I was thinking. This is what he said to me: "Because in order to know something you have to be engaged in it, with it in some manner. Any involvement results in a relationship. The relationship will be established. Whether you actively engage or not".

He said to me in so many words, that the relationship will always be there. It can remain in active stage where it grows or a non active stage where it remains in the initial stage. But you have formed a relationship to evil when you partake of it in any way just as Adam and Eve both did in the garden of Eden. In order to know about something you have to come into contact with it in someway.

Have you ever heard someone say,  I'm going to touch upon a particular topic of interest. In order to touch upon any subject, you will have to get involved by studying the subject.  Let's say you want to know about cooking. You are going to touch upon that subject when you go to the source to learn about cooking.

Now look at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Think about it, who, what, where, is the source of evil? It was the very person God did not want Adam and Eve to come into contact with. Do you think God knew the devil would be right there lurking behind the scene, waiting for a chance to deceive them?

Of course he did. The devil's reply to Eve was that God was afraid she would become like him, knowing good and bad. This was a deceptive statement which implied God was holding back something good from her. Instead the truth of the matter was the person God did not want them to be like was the evil devil.

I believe this is why God told Eve she was not to even TOUCH the tree. Even if she had not eaten the fruit from the tree in the beginning and just touched it. She would have been in just as much trouble as if she had eaten it. Simply because once you touch something you are interconnected, from that moment there is formed a direct correlation or association between yourself and the object whether it is knowledge, a concept, a person, place or thing.

It can be anything for that matter. In Adam and Eve's case it was all that and more. They came into association with the devil and even became like him. We inherently have evil tendencies due to Adam and Eve. But thanks to the greater Adam, Jesus Christ we can overcome by becoming like Christ as born again Christians. Glory to God!

This is just a little nugget  the Lord shared with me this morning. Simple as it is, it gives you something to further think about! We must always hate EVIL and not even want to touch it or look upon it. There is no evil in heaven, so we can be grateful for that. So anyone reading this having problems with liking EVIL things, turn around and repent.
EVIL spelled backwards is LIVE! Turnaround for your LIFE!
